Located on an residential parcel in Altadena, California, this project involves the like-for-like replacement of a single-story home, maintaining the existing residential use, scale, and typology of the original structure. The scope of work includes the construction of an approximately 1,700-square-foot residence designed to meet current building, zoning, and energy code requirements while introducing a modernized and efficient floor plan. The new residence is organized to include three bedrooms, two bathrooms, an open-plan kitchen, dining and living area, and a dedicated utility room, with an emphasis on functional adjacencies, efficient circulation, and code-compliant design. Our firm was engaged to provide comprehensive architectural services, including code analysis, and the preparation of complete construction documents to support permitting and construction.
