Beard Papa’s San Diego is an international chain of cream puff stores that serves fresh and customizable cream puffs. The design goals for this new commercial space were to have a modern, clean, simplistic, and sophisticated feel that embraces natural light and an efficient use of space. The design of the store is composed of three areas. This included the front of house, which had a display and sales area, the back of house which functioned as a full kitchen, and an area for customers to sit. Additionally, ADA bathrooms and a path of travel were provided from the parking lot to the building. Due to the kitchen, this project had to be involved with the Health Department of San Diego.
